About Kurdimusic

Kurdimusic is an independent encyclopedia of Kurdish music. We document the artists, songs, dances, traditions and instruments of Kurdistan and its diaspora, in the languages of the community, starting with English and Kurmancî.

Our editorial rules are simple. Every factual claim should be verifiable, and every page lists its sources. When we are not certain of a fact, we leave it out. We refer to Kurdistan and its regions: Bakur, Başûr, Rojhilat and Rojava, and to Kurdish cities by their Kurdish names.

Lyrics and translations are published only after editorial verification and a rights check. Traditional and public-domain works are published in full with attribution of the version. Modern protected works are documented as context and meaning only, unless the rights holder gives permission. We embed or link to official streams; we never host audio files.
